Throwback Thursday – The Goonies

It’s that time of week again, sit back and relax while I take you on a trip down memory lane, we’ll laugh, we’ll cry but mainly we’ll be so filled with nostalgia to care about anything else

This week I take a look at the movie that raised me when my parents grew tired of me, so a lot of my childhood. The Goonies, the movie that made wearing a superman t-shirt wildly acceptable.

And knowing I pull it off worse than Sloth gives me a deep sense of pride, no, not pride, shame, all the shame. But look at Chunk! Talk about typecasting, with a name like you would expect some comedy factor, you wouldn’t expect a truffle shuffle, but hey, that’s the beauty of it.

Though it cannot be confirmed I have it on good authority Jeff Cohen was paid in Baby Ruth’s.

Ah data, have you ever thought he looked like the kid from Indiana Jones, well don’t worry, you aren’t a racist because they are the same actor, but the burning cross on your lawn might raise some questions. A real life inspector gadget, well, you know what I mean.

By now most of you will know that the two biggest names to come out of the movie are Sean Astin and Josh Brolin. And to really get the heart oozing nostalgia look at this.
