Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I’d like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air

I really had to stop myself or this article would have just been the theme song over and over again.

So let’s take a look at the IMDB score – 7.9, in my opinion, Criminally underrated.

We have Will Smith playing Will Smith, but enough about him, let’s move onto the greatest character of all time, Carlton Banks

Just look at him, the cardigan, the tucked in shirt, it’s all just wonderful.

Of course being Welsh I am a little bias towards Carlton because of his love for my father, Tom Jones.

If I had the money I would pay to Alfonfo Ribeiro to dance at my birthday party, it’s Sunday incase he reads this.

If you even needed proof that he still has it please click on the image below

In all honesty some of the storylines beg believe because of how ridiculous they were but hey, that’s the charm. Like many people my age this was a staple choice of our afterschool viewing. Now we really do need to discuss the biggest success story from the show, Will Smith became a household name with this show (my household anyway) and he has gone from strength to strength since then, it’s nice to see that he remembers his roots, as evidenced by the link the image above, as we say in Britain, he knows what side his bread is buttered on. I don’t want this to sound like it was a two man job in making Fresh Prince as good as it was, with an array of talented actors and actresses completing the cast it really was the perfect storm of comedy and in some episodes, drama. A big shout out to Joseph Marcell who was excellent in his role as the sarcastic butler Geoffrey.

To end I want to leave you with the image of Carltons dream coming true, and also mine. Enjoy Sir Tom Jones and Carlton Banks, the look of love on his face melts my heart.
