With the Premier League starting this weekend we here at Nerdhub have decided to look at key areas each club needs to strengthen in this transfer window, it’s that of get left behind.

AFC Bournemouth

CM –  Last season Bournemouth impressed a lot of people, myself included, but I think they lacked a creative spark in midfield, I would have invested a CM rather than Jordan Ibe but only time will tell if their squad is strong enough to avoid the drop.

ST – That’s right, the same as last season! they have been linked with Alexandre Lacazette for the last few seasons, will they finally bid for him? or does Olivier Giroud have what it takes? any Arsenal fans comment below I’d love to hear what you think.

CM – Back again, but for how long? I think they need goals from midfield if they have any chance of staying up, with Andre Gray leading the line he needs support players around him, there’s still time Burnley!

LB – I like Cesar Azpilicueta but he is not a natural LB, put him on the right we he deserves to be and bring in a LB, or will Conte favour 3 at the back? we’ll find out this weekend!

Crystal Palace

ST – Campbell and Wickham? feel free to say I’m wrong but I feel like that is a championship strike force, if they can bring in a 15 goal a season striker they might just upset the apple cart.

GK – They have signed Stekelenburg but I would consider him more of a backup keeper, a good back up keeper, but in my opinion. David Marshall would be a perfect fit.

Hull City

Manager – You guessed it! first Hull need to get a manager and then they need to sign about 10 new players, they’ve left it a little late, oh well, maybe they’ll do better in the championship next year.

Leicester City

CM – Kante has gone, they can’t play Drinkwater for every game now they have champions league football, just bring in a decent squad player and give players a chance for a rest.

LB – Alberto Moreno scares me at LB, they have been linked with Jonas Hector all summer and I speak for all Liverpool fans when I say I hope Klopp makes a move before the end of the window.

Manchester City

RB – This was one of the hardest to decide, and I’m basing my decision on age, they have Sagna and Zabaleta who are both over 30, that’s right, I’m clutching at straws.

Manchester United

LB – And I’m back clutching at those straws! but with Luke Shaw as the only recognized LB should they invest in another one? or give youth a chance as they have been doing? who am I to say.

CM – I have been amazed by some of the transfers they have been able to pull off so far, and if everything clicks they could shoot right into a mid-table position, and possibly higher if they make the right investments in midfield.

ST – I like both Shane Long and Charlie Austin, but they have lost their talisman with Pelle going to China, it could be a blessing in disguise and Long and Austin could form a deadly partnership, but it’s a big risk to take, reinvest some of the Mane money in another striker and cover yourself.

Stoke City

ST – With the signing of Joe Allen they have the best midfield player in the world (calm down that’s a joke) but they are lacking in the goals department, sorry Jon Walters, please don’t kill me.

GK – David Moyes looks set to continue the long tradition of signing players from Manchester United who didn’t cut the mustard (who came up with that phrase?) but they do need to sort out the Goalkeeper problem, just tip into the Championship to sign one.

CB – The rock has gone, Williams has joined Everton which leaves a massive whole that Swansea need to fill, and they need to do it quickly.

Tottenham Hotspur

CM – And you all thought I was done clutching at straws! nope I’m back at it again! another squad player wouldn’t go a miss for Spurs, I promise that’s the last time I’ll do that.

CM – I’ve been incredibly cruel to the midfielders of some clubs here, and I’m at it again! on paper the pairing of Mario Suarez, Behrami and Capoue should be a solid unit, but things haven’t worked out that way, maybe they could do with shipping off one of them and bringing in some fresh blood.

West Bromwich Albion

ST – At the time of writing this Berahino is still at the club, I fully expect him to leave this transfer window meaning WBA will need to replace him.

West Ham

RB – Looking at the squad this is the obvious position that West Ham need to strengthen, I like Sam Byram but it is a big jump from the Championship, I’d like to see if he is going to be first choice and how he deals with stopping some of the best players in the world.
