Xbox got me into gaming and for that I will always be thankful, I make no secret that it is my console of choice and that’s why I’m excited to cover the conference at E3 for the first time here at Nerdhub. Let’s begin.
The Introduction of the Xbox One S
Slimmer, 40% smaller to be exact, but it doesn’t lose any power, 2TB hard drive, 4K Ultra HD video and a new streamlined controller. and it looks Beautiful.
Gears of War 4
Release date October 11th, Some interesting gameplay from this years E3, it seems like Gear of War is the big announcement this year, I might get some hate for this but I’m not a big Gears of War fan, sorry to everyone I have just offended, but
Xbox Play Anywhere
Continuing with the Gear of War theme General Raam is announced as the new playable character in Killer Instinct, another came this has Xbox Play Anywhere
Forza Horizon 3
September 27, Don’t worry racing fans you don’t have long to wait for the next installment of Forza Horizon, taking place in Australia with a number of different terrains and vehicles, certainly something for every racing fan here.
Some people might like the look of it, I don’t really.
Final Fantasy 15
I’ll be honest, It was an underwhelming reaction for such a big title, I’m not sure how it came across to other watching it but the lack of response from the audience kind of put a downer on it for me before the game play even began. Release date – September 30th.
The Division – Underground
Based in WW1, October 21st, October 13th with EA Access. Not much said in the buildup to this, they simply showed the trailer, and it looks good. See for yourself.
Language Region Independence
Clubs on Xbox Live
Looking for Group
Arena – Tournament platform – This is going to be a big deal for Xbox Live, I’m predicting big things and I for one can’t wait for the update, along with the announcement that EA will be releasing games in Arena in the coming years.
Minecraft – The Friendly Update
Cross platform announcement and the self dedicated servers in Minecraft Realms. Also new texture packs.
New Wireless Controller
Customization with a number of color variations, and the option to add text, handy if you take it to your friends house and they try to steal yours, not anymore you son of a gun.
A Teaser trailer for inside, Available June 29, I wish I could tell you what is what about but I have no idea.
A nice touch from Xbox, a compilation video of some Indie games that are due to be released soon.
We Happy Few
Reminds me of the vaults in fallout, but something oh so sinister, I like the look of it, I can’t imagine it’s going to set you back £40 like some of the new releases will. Available on Xbox Game Preview July 26th, mark that date in your calendar.
The popular mini game from The Witcher has been released as a stand alone game, will it remain as popular with The Witcher fans? let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Closed Beta coming September.
Always a popular franchise, Although fans will have to wait until early 2017 to play it, after a short gameplay video it sounds like we’ll have to wait a little longer for some more information on it, another announcement, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is free for Xbox Live Gold member, and I for one will be downloading it, who wants some?!?
Dead Rising 4
And the best introduction of the conference so far goes to Dead Rising 4, Everything you’d expect from it, over the top violence along with elements of comedy, pure gold.
Announced as the biggest boss fight ever, did anyone tell them bigger isn’t always better? on paper it should be fantastic, big boss fights and dragons. An interesting gameplay video, I won’t be rushing out to get it but that might just be my personal preference, I also didn’t like the gameplay music, and for me, that’s a put off.
Sea of Thieves
A year after the announcement, I’m starting to feel like a stick in the mud, again I’m not sold on it, it might be the cartoon feel of it, yes I know that’s the point, I guess I’m a lot darker than I realized, credit where credit is due, it was a funny gameplay clip showing the reaction of the players.
State of Decay 2
Halo Wars 2
Two words, The Future. This should be and could very well be the future of gaming, now with a statement like that you must be wondering what it is, I will not be able to do it justice, check it out for yourself, you won’t regret it.
